To effectively strengthen international students’ safety awareness and safeguard their personal safety on campus, the School of International Education recently held a special safety education meeting for female international students. All female international students and teachers of the international student management team attended the session.
At the meeting, Zhang Min, Deputy Secretary of the General Party Branch, delivered in-depth safety education covering personal safety, property safety, cyber safety and emotional safety. Combining real cases, she reminded students to abide by local laws, regulations and customs, and improve their ability to identify risks. She also guided them to establish a healthy outlook on relationships and advised students to turn to teachers and classmates for help in a timely manner when encountering difficulties. Teachers and international students also conducted in-depth discussions on common safety issues in daily life, with teachers patiently answering questions and sharing practical safety prevention skills and coping methods.
Shen Yun, Secretary of the General Party Branch, attended the meeting and had a cordial exchange with students. She stressed the importance of safety, urging all international students to keep the meeting requirements in mind, raise self-protection awareness in daily life and take preventive measures in advance. Meanwhile, she stated that the college will continue to pay close attention to international students’ study and life, and strive to create a safe and harmonious campus atmosphere.
The special meeting has further enhanced international students’ safety awareness and self-protection capabilities, providing solid safety guarantees for their campus life. It is also of great significance for promoting the high-quality development of international student management work.
