To help 2025 intake international freshmen quickly adapt to campus life, the School of International Education held a faculty-student meeting and campus regulations briefing in the Multi-Function Room 1117 of Haihan Building on the afternoon of September 29. Homeroom teachers, members of the student management team and teachers from the Chinese Language Curriculum Center attended the event together with all 2025 international freshmen. The meeting was presided over by Li Ming, freshmen homeroom teacher.
Through teachers’ self-introduction and freshmen interactive communication, new students got to know homeroom teachers and administrative staff one by one, which initially built a smooth communication bridge between teachers and students. In the following safety education session, Wu Xueyuan, freshmen homeroom teacher, elaborated on key campus safety points, covering the construction of smoke-free campus, electricity safety, travel safety and anti-fraud tips. In addition, Feng Junying, Director of the Chinese Language Curriculum Center, gave a detailed explanation on the attendance management system, clarifying classroom attendance standards and leave application procedures, and guiding new students to establish a strong sense of rules and develop good learning habits.
As the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays approached, Wang Ting, Director of the Student Affairs Office, emphasized holiday safety requirements and dormitory management rules to ensure freshmen spend a safe and well-organized vacation. After the meeting, teachers led all new students to the teaching buildings, introducing classroom locations and the use of internal facilities, so as to make full preparations for official classes after the holidays.
This meeting enables 2025 international freshmen to connect with the college efficiently and have a clear understanding of campus rules and safety precautions, providing solid support for their smooth study and life in China.
