On September 28, the School of International Education successfully held the Moonlit Splendor Mid-Autumn Festival Concert in Room 301, Jinghui Building. College leaders, members of the international student management and teaching teams, together with all international students, gathered to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival amid melodious melodies and joyful interactions. This marked the first cultural experience activity for new students after their admission.
Centered on the theme of the moon, the concert presented a series of well-known songs, including Perfect Blossom and Full Moon, The Moon Represents My Heart and Moonlight over the Lotus Pond. With gentle melodies and harmonious singing, the event created a warm and peaceful reunion atmosphere, accompanied by continuous applause from the audience. International students took turns to perform on stage, integrating their understanding of the Mid-Autumn Festival and longing for reunion into their songs, fully demonstrating the unique charm of cross-cultural communication.
In addition to wonderful performances, a knowledge quiz covering the origin, traditional customs, poems and allusions of the Mid-Autumn Festival enlivened the whole scene. International students raised their hands and answered questions actively. In a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, they deepened their understanding of traditional Chinese festivals and further enhanced mutual friendship.
At the end of the activity, Shen Yun, Secretary of the General Party Branch of the college, delivered concluding remarks. She stated that with songs as the cultural carrier, the concert built a warm platform for teacher-student communication and Sino-foreign integration. It allowed international students to immerse themselves in the profound traditional festival culture and helped new students quickly integrate into the college big family through collective activities. She extended early Mid-Autumn Festival blessings to all teachers and students, wishing everyone warmth and strength in this reunion season and steady growth in cross-cultural study and life.
