To further implement the university’s requirements on strengthening student dormitory safety management, the School of International Education launched a special safety inspection of international student dormitories on the morning of April 10. Led by college leaders and joined by counselors and head teachers, the inspection team conducted a comprehensive investigation of potential safety hazards in No.5 International Student Apartment of Chengyuan Campus.
During the inspection, the team carefully checked electrical equipment usage, fire exits and emergency facilities, with key focus on fire safety, electricity safety, sanitation and epidemic prevention, so as to ensure a safe and orderly living environment for international students. For existing problems found on site, rectification suggestions were put forward immediately, and a detailed ledger was established to ensure targeted improvements within a time limit. Meanwhile, safety education was carried out and Chinese-English versions of Dormitory Safety Guidelines were distributed to enhance international students’ awareness of risk prevention.
This special inspection serves as an important measure to promote the construction of a safe campus. The School of International Education will continuously implement the daily self-inspection, weekly supervision and monthly inspection mechanism, regularly organize safety training, and improve emergency response plans, so as to create a safer and more stable study and living environment for international students.
