To fully implement the requirements of the Student Affairs Office on promoting the management regulations of a smoke-free campus and conducting integrity education for final examinations, the School of International Education has recently organized international students to hold themed class meetings titled Honest Final Exams & Smoke-Free Campus. The activity aims to strengthen students’ awareness of integrity and build a healthy and safe campus environment.
Consolidating Integrity and Standardizing Exam Discipline
Each class focused on final exam integrity education. Head teachers interpreted the Regulations on Disciplinary Penalties for Exam Violations in detail and analyzed the serious consequences of cheating with typical cases. They emphasized that taking exams with honesty is not only a disciplinary requirement, but also a reflection of personal morality. All students signed the Integrity Examination Commitment Letter on the spot, promising to abide by exam rules consciously and resist cheating behaviors, so as to assess academic performance with authentic results. Meanwhile, efficient review methods were shared to guide international students to prepare for exams scientifically and embrace the final assessment with a positive attitude.
Building a Smoke-Free Campus and Safeguarding Campus Health
In the smoke-free campus publicity session, students collectively studied the Interim Management Regulations on Smoke-Free Campus and Regulations on the Handling of Students’ Smoking Violations. Through data display and anti-smoking promotional videos, teachers illustrated the hazards of smoking to physical health and the ecological environment, as well as the importance of campus fire safety. All students were encouraged to act as anti-smoking advocates, take the initiative to dissuade smoking behaviors, and establish class supervision mechanisms to ensure the effective implementation of smoke-free campus policies.
The School of International Education attaches great importance to this themed education activity. It pointed out that integrity education and smoke-free campus construction are crucial to fostering virtue through education, which require full participation and regular implementation to ensure all school regulations are fully carried out. In the follow-up, the college will consolidate educational outcomes through dormitory inspections and examination room patrols, and contribute to the construction of a civilized campus.
