On December 6, 2021, the English Reading Competition of the Seventh English Culture Festival was successfully held. As one of the series programs of the Seventh English Culture and Art Festival, the activity aimed to improve students' English reading ability, improve students' English literary literacy, enhance their interest in English learning, and enrich students' cultural life on campus.
The competition attracted nearly 200 students and received about 130 entries. In the submitted works, the contestants made careful preparation and design. When reading, they had clear pronunciation, and their reading was full of emotion with beautiful background music, which enhanced the appeal of the reading works. Through two rounds of evaluation and screening, 8 first prizes, 12 second prizes and 20 honorary awards were finally determined.This competition showed students' positive spirit and vigorous youth, improved students' English reading ability, enriched students' cultural life on campus and ignited students' enthusiasm for English learning.
