School of Humanities and Arts has a humanities, tourism and design major group, including International Cruise Crew, Tourism Management, Exhibition Planning and Management, Art Design (Interior Design), Environmental Art Design, Visual Communication Art Design, Art Design (Digital Media). Among them, International Cruise Crew and Art Design are institution-level characteristic majors.
The school has 37 faculty members, including two professors, eight associate professors, and one associate researcher. It has candidates of “young tourism experts” program by the National Tourism Bureau and the backbone teachers of “Qinglan Project” initialed by Jiangsu Provincial Education Department.
The school has teaching and practical training area of nearly 3000 square meters, which consists of 12 on-campus practical training studios and 27 off-campus practical training studios. The Project of Yangtze River Delta International Cruise Crew Comprehensive practical training base which is supported by National Development and Reform Commission is under construction. As a member of many associations, it integrates vocational education and professional standards and lays solid foundation for students’ professional skills training.
