On the afternoon of November 24, the Oral English Competition of the Sixth Student Skills Competition of Jiangsu Maritime Institute in 2021 organized by the School of International Education opened in Jingde building. A total of 256 students participated in the preliminary competition, which was divided into eight venues. The contestants expressed their views in fluent English on the topic Red Star over China. Finally, 58 players entered the finals.
On the afternoon of December 1, 56 finalists showed a high-level English competition in classroom 301 of Jingde building. The contestants gave impromptu speeches and answered questions on topics such as social and current affairs, career planning and traditional values. The contestants have standard pronunciation, clear points of view and good response. And they won the praise of the judges.
